Resolutions for PA-MV for the Chapter Meeting of September 14, 2010

IN HARMONY, the men of the Peninsulaires Chorus, Palo Alto-Mountain View Chapter of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement for Barbershop Quartet Singing in America, do hereby Proclaim as follows:

WHEREAS, on Saturday the last, approximately 25 men of good character met to Sing and bring good cheer to SNAIL for their 15th Annual Neighborhood Block Party, in our own neighborhood.

WHEREAS, at said 15th Annual Neighborhood Block Party, the Mayor of Sunnyvale became a woman of Good Harmony.

WHEREAS, also at said 15th Annual Neighborhood Block Party, a council member was revealed to be a man of Good Harmony, keeping up his chops with God Bless America.

WHEREAS, also again, at said 15th Annual Neighborhood Block Party, another performance opportunity arose, with discussions for more public performances.

WHEREAS, tonight, approximately 40 men of Good Character, and the rest of you, gathered together to Lock and Ring Chords of the highest possible quality in the Barbershop Style, a truly American Art Form.

WHEREAS, tonight, we celebrated the anniversary of Mr. Logan’s and Mr. Curtis’ birth.

WHEREAS, tonight, we all became new friends of Dan and Fred, from not just one, but two countries, both men of Good Character.

WHEREAS, the Palo Alto-Mountain View chapter is featured in a full-color full page story in the July/August 2010 issue of The Harmonizer, appearing in homes this September.

WHEREAS, we warmed up in a circle outside, in the moon light, so we all knew who arrived late.

WHEREAS, we learned that Mr. Heather enjoys those prolonged penultimate chords.

WHEREAS, we received updated riser positions, which will be remembered next week.

WHEREAS, Mr. Wanless was announced as Barbershopper of the Quarter for the quarter last, ending June 2010.

WHEREAS, Mr. Marshall and Mr. Fredrickson were recognized as continuing men of good character for 24 combined years.

WHEREAS, planned moods in both contest songs were adjusted and reinforced.

IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that Nelly shall never again be Gang Sanged.

IT is hereby RESOLVED, that these men, and many others SHALL gather here, in this very location, 165 hours from this exact moment.

IT is hereby RESOLVED, that immediately upon the commencement of the next E♭, we shall Keep The Whole World Singing.
